Environmental Rights and Protection

Environmental rights protection in Nigeria and across Africa remains largely donor-driven, leaving significant gaps in public awareness and institutional capacity. ELRI works to bridge this gap by building the capacity of local authorities, communities and the general public to understand, claim and defend their environmental rights. Through targeted sensitisation programmes, community engagement and advocacy, we empower individuals and organisations to actively participate in activities that conserve natural resources and promote sustainable environmental protection for present and future generations.
